GENERAL:
For both 1 piece (bolt) and 2 piece (ball) sculptures
They go over a fence post.
See installation instructions below:
The same sculpture can be ordered with a different base if you don't want it to go over a fence post.
There are three different sizes of metal garden fence posts that you can use depending on the length of the sculpture
At Lowes the posts are sold under the Blue Hawk name. They can also be purchased at Home Depot or Walmart.
Under 5’ sculptures use the 3 to 4 ft. metal garden fence posts
Under 6' sculptures use the 5 to 6 ft. metal garden fence posts
Sculptures over 6' use the 7 ft. metal garden fence posts
Each metal post can be pounded into the dirt with just a hammer. How deep it goes, depends on the length of the post. No cement or digging is required.
Best to put the post in after a rainfall when the ground is soft. The sculptures are hollow and fit over the metal garden fence post.
WEATHER:
Leaving the sculpture outside during the winter is optional. However, they are meant to add color to your garden all year round. Outside sculptures can be left out all winter in temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
For Beacon pieces which have more than one part see illustration for easy assembly:
